On the move with the bike, Mountain bike and E-bike
Vineyards, peach trees and shady woods: The most beautiful bike tours take you from Lutzmannsburg then along the family "Therme" biking/hiking route. And depending upon your pedalling strength and how comfy your seat is, you could carry on, on the official “Sonnenland Tour”, which takes you right through central Burgenland.
Discover the small sleepy villages and quaint guesthouses, far removed from the noisy roads.
A unique biking experience
along the fruit orchards and vineyards
A unique biking experience, which takes you over gentle hills and along well-maintained orchards and vineyards. There are many different tours on offer, manageable for the whole family or more challenging for the more experienced biker and peppered with trails and altitude meters for mountain bikers. The biking network is very well built. Sports enthusiasts interested in culture can also enjoy the contemporary witnesses and cultural sights along the way. Especially the charm of the castles, fortresses and ruins, that will make even the most avid cyclist stop and look.
Climbing at the High Ropes Course
The “Sonnenland High Rope Course” is the perfect choice for everybody, who is looking for a bit of a challenge, because the high rope course literally does take the hobby climber very high up. It is open from May to October and has both low ropes and an adventure area on offer. There is an encouraging easy starter course, as well as a demanding high ropes course. Be brave and try to push your personal boundaries, train your mental strength and re-discover deeply buried skills. In order to do this, there are 16 challenging elements at a height of up to 8 meters available, and then the Flying Fox as a fantastic finish is an absolute must.
Fitness on rollers
Whether it is to try out a different sport or it is your favourite sport: That the landscape can be conquered on inline skates, also known as "roller skates", is very rare. The Lutzmannsburg tourist office recommends the “Rolling area” in “Sonnenland”. The tour network for inline skaters, with which pioneering work was done throughout Austria, covers an impressive 45 kilometres. Without obstacles, free of stones and vibrations, the skating fun takes both beginners and well-practiced skaters over the concrete ways around Lutzmannsburg.
The “Rolling area” is made up of three skating routes (S1, S2 and S3). The routes start from the rolling terminal, by the “Sonnenthermen” and are of various lengths. As the routes can be skated in both directions, you can join the route at any point. The start and the end can therefore be chosen individually and dependent upon your endurance!
A horse, a ride, pure happiness
At an easy going walk or at a full gallop: the riding network in central Burgenland has an impressive length of around 350 kilometers. It allows horse mad people to choose between long rides or adventurous trail rides in the peace and quiet of nature. Maybe your hack out will take you to the historical knight’s castle of Lockenhaus or in the rhythm of the horse shoes into the Geschriebenstein nature park. For horse and riding enthusiastic children, there is also the option to visit the family ranch. The western riding stable is situated directly nearby the Sonnentherme Lutzmannsburg.
