It is only an hour’s drive away from the holiday resort Thermen Golf Pannonia. The metropolis, which is steeped in history and culture, is the perfect setting for sightseeing and going for a stroll.
Vienna fans always put the historical centre with St. Stephen's Cathedral in first place, followed by Schönbrunn Palace, the History of Art Museum, Schönbrunn Zoo Vienna and then the gardens of Schönbrunn.
Vienna is bursting with imposing historical buildings, there are so many landmarks, which characterize this capital city. What is impressive is the variety of art and cultural events, concerts and plays, from the State Opera to the Spanish riding school. Pest is the most famous part of the city. You amble through the lively streets, past the trendy street cafés and restaurants, which entice you in to while away an hour or two. In the Pester pedestrian zone, there is the largest shopping mile of the city, the Váci utca.
On the other side of the Donau river bank: Here are the Gellert mountain with the citadel and the Gellert monument and the Fishermen’s Bastion are a must. From the citadel you can enjoy a wonderful view over Budapest.
